Privacy Policy for PhotoPin

PhotoPin is developed by Parkers Media. This privacy policy explains how PhotoPin handles information when you use the app.

What PhotoPin Does

• Uses your device camera to take photos.
• Uses your device GPS to obtain your current location (latitude, longitude, and address).
• Embeds this information into the photo file stored on your device.
• Optionally requests map tiles from MapTiler by sending latitude/longitude. These requests are only used to display a local map overlay and are not linked to you personally.

What PhotoPin Does Not Do

• Does not collect, store, or transmit your photos or location to Parkers Media.
• Does not sell or share any personal data with third parties.
• Does not use analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.

Data Storage

All photos and associated information are stored locally on your device. You are responsible for how those files are shared or backed up outside of the app (for example, if you upload them to cloud storage or social media).

Third-Party Services

The only external service PhotoPin contacts is MapTiler, to request map tiles based on latitude/longitude. Please see MapTiler’s Privacy Policy for more information.
